Our company headquarters will relocate to Eschborn towards the end of 2026, and your primary workplace will transition to Eschborn accordingly.
Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Lead and further develop the Group Accounting function across the Jack Wolfskin Group
- Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements for international subsidiaries in accordance with local GAAP, as well as standalone and consolidated financial statements under German GAAP (HGB)
- Ensure IFRS reporting to the holding company and support consolidation processes across the Group
- Manage and ensure efficient, accurate, and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Coordinate and oversee the quality assurance of local GAAP to IFRS reporting reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with Record-to-Report standards, process guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and support corporate and legal entity changes within the Group
- Coordinate national and international statutory audits and collaborate with external auditors
- Organize and support corporate governance and statutory processes, including annual financial statements and shareholder resolutions
- Manage interfaces between Accounting, Tax, Controlling, and other business functions
- Lead projects focused on the automation, standardization, and digitalization of finance processes
- Drive the continuous improvement of accounting processes and the Chart of Accounts within SAP S/4HANA
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize finance and accounting operations
What you bring:
- Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in a leadership role within an international company or a public accounting/audit firm
- Strong knowledge of national and international accounting standards, particularly HGB and IFRS
- Experience with US GAAP is considered an advantage
- Proven experience in managing and overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes as well as group reporting activities
- Experience working with Finance Shared Service Centers or international service organizations is considered an advantage
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP systems
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and Record-to-Report workflows
- Experience collaborating with external auditors and supporting statutory audit processes
- High level of quality awareness combined with a structured, reliable, and deadline-oriented approach to work
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex topics into clear and actionable insights
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in an international environment
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
